Mountain Power

Since we have been living in Denver, our time has been pretty split between exploring the mountains and trying to survive financially. It has been a struggle but the latter has seemed less important than the former.

It is said that the mountains have a spiritual presence and are a powerful way to reconnect to the environment. Well, I will be the first to tell you that we have felt that presence and it is one of the most amazing experiences. Each and every time that we drive into the mountains, whether it be to snowboard, hike or just head to winter park on a trip to get a fellow friends hair did, we are astonished and an overwhelming happiness envelopes us.

The views of just the drive are jaw dropping and then once you are placed right on the mountain or in a small mountain town there is a feeling of oneness with all that surrounds you.  Its time to "Earth". And if you don't understand that term I highly suggest you contact me.

Anywho, Ive been to the bulls game, am now bar backing a little bit (which is a crazy ass job) and my birthday is coming up and I have a ticket to Further on the 22nd. John and I are headed to the Celtics/Nuggets game tonight! Go Nuggets! WE WANT OUR CHEAP TACOS!!!

Quick Update

It has been a few weeks since our last post and to our readers we ask for forgiveness.  The past few weeks have been delightful but rather busy (well for Eric and John more delightful than busy). As for the lack of posts, we sincerely apologize.
Over the last few weeks Shannon and Jadelynn have come and gone. Even though the weather while they were visiting was extremely cold and nothing like we have been bragging about, they still were able to visit a plethora of great places in CO. Amongst those places were Boulder, Fort Collins, Coors Brewery, Red Rocks Amphitheater and more.  A highlight was the 1 UP arcade bar.  Jades was a big fan of Dig Dug.  (Don't worry I've never heard of the game either)
John and Katie also arrived around the same time as Shannon and Jades.  Katie stayed a bit longer but unfortunately had to return to CT to continue her studies.  Katie definitely made the most of her stay visiting the Aquarium, Red Rocks, hitting the slopes and even stuck around for the weather to warm up.
After Katie ventured back east and John settled in to his new room, Mr. Markow became the first parent to visit CO when he came out for a week.  The Professor was an amazing guest and a great sport bunking up in the small but cozy "Zen Room" of the house. The week did not produce a dull moment as he hit the slopes twice, visited Red Rocks, played a little pick-up basketball and forced us to try Rocky Mountain Oysters.
Since January its been a lot of the same.  Little bit of boarding, little bit of working (some more than others) and a little bit of chilling.   I had the chance to visit Phoenix twice, John bought a mattress and Eric finally got his non-stick frying pans!  Good times.  Looking forward to more visitors in the near future.

And for those who were curious, once again not on the free drink calender.
Lindsay made it twice though .....
